Crossing Swords Conception
How it Started
When considering what to make for my senior thesis, I wanted to do something better than my past films, and that meant sticking to what I'm good at. So I started with just swords, and knowing that, at least at the moment, humans aren't my strong suit, so I decided that I would create a story within the world of Burrowdown.

Backgrounds

The Planning
The rabbits in the Burrowdowns are heavily inspired by Spanish rennaissance culture, so I knew I had to start there. I didn't want a setting that's entirely outside, but I wanted an open space for the film to take place in. After being inspired by some 3D Models online, I decided on an open courtyard. Using my resources at Temple University, I contacted Mauricio Bertet, a faculty member in the Architecture program at the university who has a lot of background in Spanish renaissance architecture. He was able to provide me with ample references which I used to make my 3D model using Autodesk Maya.
